WHEN DO I VOTE?

TODAY is voting day! Monday November 13TH, 2006 
Voting places are open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

WHERE DO I VOTE?
If you have received a voters card, your voting place will be listed on the card.

If you need a ride to your voting place, please call Jem Cain's office at 416-840-6782, and we will send someone to pick you up.

WHO CAN VOTE?
You can vote in the City of Toronto municipal election if you are:

  • a Canadian citizen, and
  • at least 18 years old, and
  • a resident of the City of Toronto, or
  • a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the City of Toronto, or their spouse, and
  • not prohibited from voting under any law.
WHAT DO I NEED TO VOTE?

Your voter information card plus 1 other piece of I.D., such as:
  • Government issued identification or form that contains your name and City of Toronto address, such as a driver's licence or income tax assessment
  • City of Toronto property tax bill
  • utility bill (hydro, gas, water, telephone, cable TV)
  • hospital card
  • bank statement
  • mortgage, rental or lease agreement
  • insurance policy (home, tenant or auto) or
  • current employer record (pay stub or letter from employer)

AM I ON THE VOTERS' LIST?
If you are on the voters list, you should have received a voters card in the mail.

You can now check to see if  are on the voters' list by calling the City election information line at 416-338-1111.

I DIDN'T RECEIVE A VOTERS CARD. CAN I STILL VOTE?

Absolutely. Just go to your polling station on election day with one piece of acceptable ID from the list above. There you will be able to register and vote.
